Caravaning Guide
  1. Site Rules
    1. Only members of the Burton and District Caravan and Camping Club and their guests shall be entitled to use the facilities of the club.
    2. Attendance shall be deemed an acceptance of these rules.
    3. The authority for the conduct of the fixture shall be vested in the site Marshal or his Deputy who shall be responsible to the Chairman or in his absence his Deputy.
    4. Each member MUST report to the site marshal before parking and must be prepared to substantiate his identity by presenting his membership card if asked to do so.
    5. The siting of outfits/tents shall be carried out in accordance with the direction of the site marshal or his deputy. All units/tents should be pitched at least 20 feet/6 metres from the side wall of one unit to the next, this respects your neighbors pitch. It also minimizes any fire hazard.
    6. Members MUST NOT arrive on site before the opening time stated in the handbook.
    7. SITE MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT 5 M.P.H. Only fully licensed drivers are allowed to drive vehicles on the rally site and under no circumstances are driving lessons etc. permitted.
    8. Your own sanitation will always be required. Facilities are provided for emptying toilets and waste water. DO NOT WASH OR FILL, CHEMICAL TOILETS UNDER THE DRINKING WATER TAP.
    9. REFUNDS. No refunds will be made for non-attendance at rallies, except at the discretion of the treasurer.
    10. In the event for a fixture being cancelled only those members who have applied to attend will be notified, and at the same time informed of any alternative arrangements.
    11. ALL ANIMALS must be kept on leads (not longer than 10 feet) and must not be allowed to foul the site.
    12. BALL GAMES must not be played nor KITES FLOWN near parked caravans/tents.
    13. All fixture charges are payable on arrival.
    14. Bicycles must not be ridden near parked caravans/tents. Mopeds or motorcycles may only be ridden from the official entrance of the site, directly to and from the caravan/tent the rider is visiting.
    15. If a tow is accepted on or off the field, it must be understood that the owner of the towing vehicle shall not be responsible for any damage that may occur.
    16. Generators – Private generators must not be used between 6pm – 10am and must not be left unattended. Consideration to your neighbors must be given at all times.
    17. Children are the sole responsibility of their parent or guardian.
    18. The use of guns, catapults and weapons is prohibited at Rallies.
    19. These rules are supplementary to the Code of Conduct laid down by the relevant government body.
