Rally Information & Report
The 2010 rally season started in fine style with 11 caravans appearing at the Marsh Farm site in Abbots Bromley hosted by first-time marshals Dave and Sue Wright ably assisted by their children Liam (4) and Hayden (1).
After a soggy start on Friday night where one caravan had to be assisted onto the pitch the weather took a slight turn for the better on Saturday and ended up with a glorious Sunday morning for flag.
The Saturday night entertainment didn’t quite go plan for Dave as the Bingo number descriptions he downloaded wasn’t exactly conventional: the descriptions “Duck with a Crutch” for number 27 caused a few giggles and a confused silence was quickly followed by outright laughter after “Tickety Boo 22” was called! Lady luck was certainly smiling on Julie Sowter during the games as she won the prize for getting a line twice as well as another prize for house!
The prize for the Abbots Bromley quiz followed by 15 Dingbats went to Phil and Alison Belt. Ben, James and Lucy all won prizes for the teens & age 7-12 category respectively.
